Daily Payout Prop Accounts: What Daily Withdrawals Cost in Rules

Daily payouts remove the five-day payout cycle, and every firm that offers them makes up for it elsewhere in the rulebook. Five 50K daily plans side by side, what the buffer does to the cushion after each withdrawal, the rules that come with daily cash, and one week on a daily and a cycle plan.

Daily Payout Prop Accounts: What Daily Withdrawals Cost in Rules

A daily payout prop account lets you request a withdrawal on any trading day once there is enough profit above the firm's buffer, instead of waiting for a cycle of five qualifying days. Several futures prop firms now sell plans like that. None of them gives the flexibility away; each one charges for it somewhere else in the rulebook, and the charge is easier to see once the plans sit side by side.

If funded accounts are new to you, the pillar explains the model, and payout rules covers buffers, cycles and splits in general.

All of it is at the time of writing, October 2026, from each firm's help center. Not every firm offers daily cash. Apex keeps five qualifying days between payouts on its funded Performance Accounts and allows daily requests only in its invitation-only live program, Alpha Futures pays after every five winning days, and Topstep allows daily payouts only on its live accounts, after 30 winning days there. Lucid's four account types covers LucidDaily rule by rule.

What the buffer does to the cushion

Every plan in the table holds back about the size of its drawdown. On a 50K with a $2,000 trailing drawdown, the floor stops trailing at $50,100, the starting balance plus $100, and nothing can be withdrawn below $52,100 (Take Profit Trader's figures are $50,000 and $52,000). Take out everything above the buffer and the room left is exactly the $2,000 you started with.

So the first withdrawal needs $2,100 of profit plus the minimum request: a balance of $52,600 on a plan with a $500 minimum, $52,350 on one with $250. After that, every full withdrawal resets the account to the same $2,000 of room. An uncapped daily plan never builds a cushion larger than the original drawdown unless you choose to leave profit in.

A cycle plan with a half-the-profit rule works differently. On LucidFlex, five qualifying days and $4,000 of profit allow a request of $2,000; the floor moves to $50,100 and $1,900 of room is left, slightly less than a daily plan leaves. A cycle that makes $6,000 still pays at most $2,000, and the room grows to $3,900. The cap forces profit to stay in the account, so the cushion grows in good weeks whether you planned it or not.

What the daily cash costs

The cost that arrives first is the drawdown type. LucidDaily's funded accounts, MyFundedFutures Rapid and Take Profit Trader PRO trail intraday, so the floor follows open profit until it locks. A trade that runs $1,500 in your favor and closes at +$900 has moved the floor $1,500, not $900. A trader who exits with trailing stops pays that difference on every winner during the climb to the first withdrawal, the stretch where most funded accounts end. Once the floor locks, which happens before the first withdrawal is possible, intraday and end-of-day trailing behave the same. Trailing drawdown explained shows both types side by side.

News rules come next. Three of the five plans require being flat around major US releases such as CPI at 8:30 AM ET, 14:30 in Central Europe, and at Lucid breaking the rule is a hard breach that closes the account.

Then the ceilings. Tradeify caps each request at twice the profit since the last payout and at $1,250, FundedNext caps each cycle at $1,200, and FundedNext closes the account after the fifth payout, so a FundedNext Rapid Daily 50K can pay $6,000 at most, $5,400 after the split. Lucid and MyFundedFutures put the ceiling on the day instead: an $8,000 day sends a Lucid account to live review, and a $10,000 day moves a MyFundedFutures account live. Payout caps compares those ceilings with the cycle plans.

The rest is smaller and adds up. Take Profit Trader PRO pays 80/20 instead of 90/10, and two of the plans add a $1,000 daily loss limit. None of the five daily plans has a consistency rule on the funded account, which matters to traders whose days vary a lot in size, though the cycle-based LucidFlex and Tradeify Select Flex funded accounts have none either.

One week on each plan

A trader on a 50K makes +$700, +$900, −$400, +$1,200 and +$300 in a week, $2,700 in total.

On Tradeify's Select Daily plan, the balance first clears the $52,100 buffer by more than the $250 minimum on the fourth day, at $52,400. A $300 request brings it back to $52,100, and the fifth day's $300 comes out the same way: $600 in the week, $540 after the split.

On Select Flex, the same firm's cycle plan, four of the five days made $150 or more, one short of a payout, so nothing leaves this week. When the fifth qualifying day comes, half of the profit can go and the rest stays as cushion.

The daily plan requested two payouts during the week. The cycle plan kept all $2,700 in the account, which with the floor locked at $50,100 is $2,600 of room. Which matters more depends on whether you need cash on a schedule, the question the monthly income math works through, or a cushion that grows with the account.

I trade LucidFlex at Lucid (affiliate link). My exits start from a target of about 35 points and turn into a trailing stop when the move has room for more, and that trailing part is the exit an intraday trailing drawdown charges most.
